Here at MM, The Mountain Goats are a bit of a marmite band, you either love ’em (Barry-Sean) or you don’t (Mrs M) and there’s not much grey area in between. So there will probably be delight and complete indifference in equal measure at the imminent release of new album All Eternals Deck and advance taster Damn These Vampires.
I actually think this horror inflected cowboy tale is one of the best things I’ve heard from them and bodes well for the album which is out at the end of March on Merge Records.
